About
The Village Idiom
The Village
Idiom is a bookstore located in downtown Hessel that specializes
in secondhand books. The Village Idiom contains a wide variety
of books, from Children's books to Mysteries, and Do-it-Yourself
books to Romance, but their Mystery section is the largest.
The bookstore is perfect for all ages and has a very comfortable
and cozy feel to it. The owners, Elizabeth Fels and Gail Legate,
are always friendly, ready to help and more than willing to
answer any questions you might have. Not only can you buy
books, but the owners are always willing to accept books on
trade and will give you credit for them, depending on condition
and need, that can be used on books bought from the bookstore.
And, if you don't use up all of your credit before the bookstore
closes for the year, it gets saved and can be used the next
year when the bookstore reopens.
So, whether you're vacationing here or if you live here, The
Village Idiom is a great place to visit if you're running
low on reading materials or just need a present for your favorite
bookworm.
